ZIMBABWE’S FINAL PUSH: INSIDE ZANU PF’S CIVIL WAR AND THE FIGHT FOR OUR FUTURE

Zimbabwe is in big trouble again. The ruling party, ZANU PF, is now fighting against itself. President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Vice President, Constantino Chiwenga, are no longer working together. They are now enemies, fighting for more power. This fight is making our country more unstable. And now, one war veteran named Blessed Geza has come out to make things worse for Mnangagwa. Geza is saying Mnangagwa must go, and he is not keeping quiet about it.
Blessed Geza used to be part of ZANU PF’s top leadership. He is respected by many war veterans. But now, he says Mnangagwa must step down. He is angry that Mnangagwa wants to stay as president beyond 2028. The law says Mnangagwa must leave in 2028 after finishing two terms, but he now wants to change that to 2030. Many people believe this is just the beginning and that he is planning for a third term. Geza says this is wrong and dangerous. He has called it a dictatorship.
Some people think Geza is joking, but he is serious. He even gave Mnangagwa ten days to resign or face consequences. He later denied the threat, but everyone knows he is still pushing hard. He says he will continue fighting until Mnangagwa is gone. He is calling it the “final push,” like what Morgan Tsvangirai once called for when trying to remove Robert Mugabe. Now the same people who removed Mugabe in 2017 are fighting each other. The snake is eating itself.
Because of his actions, ZANU PF kicked Geza out of the party. But many war veterans are still supporting him. They say Mnangagwa was not a true fighter in the war for independence. They say he was trained but stayed in Zambia and never really fought. They now believe he betrayed the revolution. These war veterans want leadership that respects them and fights for all people.
Even though he is facing threats, Geza says he is not afraid. He says he is fighting for every Zimbabwean. But people are tired. They have seen these fights before. Mnangagwa promised a new Zimbabwe after Mugabe, but nothing changed. Now people are asking: If Chiwenga takes over, will anything really change?
Mnangagwa has a dark history. He was Mugabe’s right-hand man for years. He was part of the government during the Gukurahundi killings, where thousands of people were murdered in the 1980s. Even now, his government arrests opposition leaders and blocks freedom. He promised democracy but gave us more pain.
As an activist, I continue to write about these problems. I use my blog to speak for those who cannot speak. I fight with my words because I want change. We are not free in Zimbabwe. We live in fear. We suffer while those in power steal and abuse us. Mnangagwa’s government is full of corruption, and the whole world can see it. America and Britain have even put sanctions on him and his friends because of human rights abuses.
Now Mnangagwa is facing a big storm. The people are angry, and his own party is falling apart. If the army stops supporting him, it is over. He may face another coup, just like Mugabe. The next few months will be very important for Zimbabwe. If we do not speak out, we may lose everything.
This is not just politics. It is about our future. We need leaders who care about the people, not power. We need jobs, food, and peace—not more fighting. I will keep writing, protesting, and speaking until Zimbabwe is free. Democracy is not a gift. We must fight for it. We must not stop.
This article is clearly anti-ZANU PF propaganda. You are fuelling division and hoping for chaos, but the party is stronger than you think. You talk about democracy, but you praise threats and insults from expelled members. That’s not activism, that’s political theatre.
Blessed Geza is a political opportunist with no real influence. Attacking the President won’t fix anything, he’s just bitter because he lost relevance. Changing the constitution is part of any democracy. If the people support it, why shouldn’t President Mnangagwa stay? Don’t confuse legal reforms with dictatorship.
