MNANGAGWA’S SECRET PLOT TO STAY IN POWER UNTIL 2030 EXPOSED

Something very dangerous is happening in Zimbabwe. Over the weekend, President Emmerson Mnangagwa had a private meeting at his farm. This meeting was not just with ZANU PF members. It also included Members of Parliament (MPs) from the opposition CCC party. The reason for the meeting was shocking. Mnangagwa wants to stay in power longer than the constitution allows. He wants to move the election from 2028 to 2030, giving himself two more years in office without asking the people to vote.

This is not only wrong, but it is also illegal. The Zimbabwean constitution does not allow any president to stay in power for more than two terms. Also, Parliament has no power to change the election date to help the president. This plan by Mnangagwa and his allies is a direct attack on our democracy and our rights as citizens.

Mnangagwa has said in public that he is a man of the law. He calls himself a “constitutionalist.” He says he respects the rules of the country. But this is hard to believe. He first got into power through a military coup in 2017. That was not democratic or legal. And now, even though he denies wanting to stay in power, it is clear that his supporters are working hard on the 2030 plan. They are doing it with his knowledge and blessing.

At first, the plan was to let Mnangagwa run again in the 2028 election for a third term. But they quickly saw that this would be very hard. Winning that election fairly would not be possible. So now they want to skip the election and just add two more years to his time in office. That way, he stays president until 2030 without going back to the people.

This is not only undemocratic—it is criminal. Legal experts are speaking out clearly. They say that this idea breaks the constitution. Parliament cannot extend the president’s time in power. If they try, they are breaking the law. This shows that Mnangagwa and his group are willing to destroy the law just to hold onto power.

The resistance is not only coming from outside ZANU PF. Some members inside his own party are also against the plan. Even Vice President Constantino Chiwenga does not support it. Chiwenga has the support of the military, and he is a powerful man inside ZANU PF. If he is against this plan, it will be much harder for Mnangagwa to push it through. This shows that there is a serious fight going on within the ruling party.

As a political activist, I speak out because this is not just about politicians. This is about the people of Zimbabwe. This is about our future, our freedom, and our right to vote. We cannot allow one man to change the rules just to stay in power. We fought too hard for independence and democracy to watch it all be destroyed by a greedy few.

We must stand together. We must speak loudly. We must use every legal and peaceful way to stop this attack on our constitution. Zimbabwe belongs to the people, not to politicians who want to rule forever.

Mnangagwa and his allies are trying to cheat the system. But we are watching. We are not afraid. And we will not be silent. Let the world know that Zimbabweans are ready to defend democracy. We will not allow a repeat of history. Power belongs to the people, and the people must choose who leads them—freely and fairly.
