ZANU PF IS FALLING APART WHILE ZIMBABWEANS SUFFER

3

ZANU PF is now a broken house. The fights inside are getting worse every day. President Emmerson Mnangagwa is no longer safe, even inside his own party. He stood before the politburo in Harare and called some of his top comrades “wolves in sheep’s clothing.” He was clearly talking about Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga and his loyal team. These are the same people who helped him take power from Robert Mugabe in 2017. Now they want him gone too.

As a political activist, I have spoken out many times about how ZANU PF is destroying our country. But now, the destruction is happening even inside the party itself. Mnangagwa wants to act like he is the true leader of the party, the guardian of its past and future. But the truth is, the party is lost. He said ZANU PF members must be loyal all the time—day and night. But what does loyalty mean when the people are hungry, poor, and hopeless?

Chiwenga’s faction is growing stronger. They have support from many soldiers and war veterans. These same war veterans used to be ZANU PF’s strongest soldiers. Now they are shouting that Mnangagwa has failed and must step down. This is not a small thing. When the war veterans turn against you, it means you have truly lost touch with the roots of your power.

Mnangagwa is trying to hold on by talking about ideology and unity. But his words are empty. Zimbabweans don’t need speeches—they need food, jobs, and freedom. The economy is collapsing. Prices are rising every day. The health system is broken. Corruption is everywhere. The police and army continue to beat people. Journalists are jailed. Opposition leaders are arrested. What kind of unity can come from this?

I post these articles not just to complain, but to speak truth. I speak for those who are afraid. I speak for those who cannot speak. I want the world to see what is happening. Zimbabwe is not in crisis because of sanctions. It is in crisis because of selfish leaders who care only about power. The fight between Mnangagwa and Chiwenga is not for the people. It is for control. Two sides of the same rotten coin.

Now the war veterans are saying what many of us have said for years—that Mnangagwa has no plan. That he has no heart for the people. They want change, but will it be the right change? Chiwenga was part of the coup. He used force to remove Mugabe. Can we trust a man like that to lead with peace?

Mnangagwa talks about the Chitepo School of Ideology, but that school will not stop the fire burning inside ZANU PF. Ideology means nothing when children are going to bed hungry. It means nothing when elections are stolen and violence is used to silence people. The party is at war with itself, and that war is tearing the country apart.

As an activist, I will continue to fight through my words. I will speak even when they threaten me. Because silence is not an option. Zimbabwe needs democracy. Real democracy. Not fake elections and fake unity. We need leaders who care about people, not only power.

ZANU PF is breaking. Whether Mnangagwa wins or loses this fight, the damage is done. The party is falling from the inside. And maybe, just maybe, this is the chance for a new Zimbabwe to rise. But it will not happen on its own. We, the people, must speak. We must act. We must not give up.

Because Zimbabwe deserves better.

  1. Stop celebrating division in the party, ZANU PF has survived bigger storms than this. You think you’re exposing weakness, but you’re just recycling gossip and rumours. This article is clearly written to please the West. Real patriots don’t air internal matters like this to the world. You’re feeding the enemy.

  2. This was bold and well said. ZANU PF’s internal war is a sign that even they know the system is collapsing. Change is no longer a drea, it’s a necessity. When war veterans begin to revolt, you know the end is near. This article captures the desperation and hunger for true leadership in Zimbabwe.

  3. The people are tired of being pawns in power games. Whether it’s Mnangagwa or Chiwenga, we want leaders who serve, not rule us. The time for action is now. ZANU PF is eating itself from the inside, and that’s no accident. Years of greed and violence have caught up with them. Thank you for using your voice to demand better for us all.
