CORRUPTION IN ZIMBABWE: A PROMISE BROKEN BY THE LEADERS THEMSELVES

When the current president was in exile, he wrote a letter. In this letter, he promised to come back and fix things, especially corruption. Corruption was a problem that the military used as an excuse to stage a coup. They removed the long-time dictator Mugabe. The people were tired of years of oppression and believed that change had finally come. They did not know that they were trusting someone who would become even worse. The president turned out to be the godfather of corruption, with many of his friends and family involved in the worst corruption scandals.

To those who could see through the lies, the idea of fighting corruption was always a joke. It was like setting fire to a house while you were still inside. For the president, it would not make sense to fight corruption when he was the one benefiting from it. He and his friends have been stealing from the country for a long time. This has left the country in a terrible state. The country is falling apart, and things are only getting worse. If the country collapses, it will not only affect Zimbabwe but the whole region.

The people of Zimbabwe are suffering. The government has failed to take care of their basic needs. The leaders only care about making themselves rich. They do not care about the people’s welfare or service delivery. The government has failed so badly that the country is now close to complete collapse. People are being oppressed, and their lives are getting harder every day. The leaders of the ruling party, Zanu PF, have become like parasites. They are sucking the life out of the country while making themselves richer.

The people of Zimbabwe need to start asking serious questions. They need to wake up to what is happening. Why would a man who has been in many government positions suddenly start talking about fighting corruption? He was part of the same corrupt system for years. The answer is simple. The president only started talking about corruption because he wanted to win the election. He knew that if he lost, he could be prosecuted. He also knew that if he was not in power, he would lose access to the country’s resources, which he and his friends have been looting for years.

The people of Zimbabwe have been tricked. The government has done nothing to help them. Instead, it has continued to steal from them. The president and his friends have become experts in making themselves richer while the people become poorer. The ruling party, Zanu PF, has become a criminal organization. They do not care about the people or the future of the country. All they care about is staying in power and getting richer.

The president promised to fight corruption, but he is the one leading it. His friends and family are involved in all the major corruption scandals. The government has failed to provide basic services to the people, and the country is falling apart. The people of Zimbabwe are suffering, and the future looks very bleak.

The leaders of Zanu PF have become like parasites, feeding off the people and the country’s resources. The president has betrayed the people by making promises that he never intended to keep. Instead of fixing the country, he has made things worse. The people are now poorer than ever, while the leaders are richer than ever.

It is time for the people of Zimbabwe to wake up. They need to start asking the right questions. They need to see the truth. The president and his government are not there to help them. They are there to make themselves richer. The promise to fight corruption was a lie, and the people have been scammed.
