ZANU PF SILENCES OPPOSITION LEADERS AHEAD OF ELECTIONS
In recent times, Zimbabwe’s ruling party, ZANU PF, has been cracking down on freedom and silencing those who speak against them. As the country prepares for important elections, this troubling behavior has become more noticeable. Two well-known opposition leaders, Job Sikhala and Jacob Harivhume, are the latest victims of these actions. Their arrests raise serious questions about the state of democracy in Zimbabwe and the basic rights of its people.
Job Sikhala is a leading member of the opposition party Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC). For years, he has been one of the most outspoken critics of ZANU PF. Sikhala has earned the respect of many people in Zimbabwe because he has stood firm in his belief in democratic values and the need for social justice.
